After completing graduate school and doing her fellowship in speech and language pathology, ​Ruth opened ​her pediatric private ​in Newport Beach in 2001​. She ​has consistently received units which exceed state and national requirements and has received awards for continuing education (ACE) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association​ (ASHA)​. She graduated with honors and is a recipient of an Outstanding Student Award from the California Speech Language and Hearing Association​ (CSHA)​. She was honored at the Year of the Child Who Stutters Symposium for her commitment and volunteer service with the National Stuttering Association​ (NSA)​.​ In June of 2015, Ruth received a full scholarship and was privileged to attend an international week-long workshop ​sponsored by the Stuttering Foundation of America (SFA).

Ruth spent a portion of her childhood in Middle East and went to boarding school in Europe. ​She enjoys volunteering her time at local community clinics, hospitals, schools, and orphanages in the states as well as abroad. ​ As a result of these enriching experiences, she has been exposed to many cultures and languages, and enjoys working with the people from all walks of life. ​Ruth​ takes great pleasure seeing the positive difference she makes in the lives of the families with whom she works​ and ​is passionate about training clinicians, participating in research, and helping the community she serves.
